What should I expect from an In His Word Sunday worship service?
Our 10:30 am worship service includes both contemporary and traditional elements. A typical service includes announcements, praise and worship singing, led by our IHW praise team, tithing and offering, corporate prayer, and delivery of the word. The entire service is usually about 90 minutes. However, on the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate the Lord's Supper (Communion) together which extends our service about 10 minutes longer.
What kind of music do you play?
Whether new or old we sing both contemporary and traditional music styles. The song selections are primarily based on the atmosphere being set and the message to come. Our musical selections include both praise and worship songs designed to uplift spirits and encourage a spirit of reverence.
What should I wear?
Most of our members and visitor dress in casual attire. While some dress more formal on some Sundays we invite you to dress in the most comfortable and appropriate attire to worship God.
What about my kids?
We want you to be able to focus on the word and enjoy the full experience that In His Word has to offer. All children ages 4 and under are invited to enjoy service in our Childcare suite during our 10:30 AM services. We also have grade specific Sunday School classes are available for children 6 to 17 beginning at 9:30 AM every Sunday morning.
How do I get to In His Word Ministries?
We are located at 1169 Veterans Memorial Hwy SW, Mableton, GA 30126. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted with signage that displays our church name. Please follow the signs. If you need directions from your home to our church please click here.
How can I let you know I’m coming to visit?
We can't wait to meet you! We'd love to have you visit at any of our available service times, however, if you'd like to let us know in advance please contact us with a simple message that includes your name, email, and the date you plan to join us.
Should I bring anything?
When we say come as you are, we mean it. We encourage you to bring your Bible and notebook with you to take notes on during the word, but in the event that you do not have access to a Bible, we will be more than happy to supply you with one. Bibles are located at the back of the sanctuary - just ask an usher - they’d be glad to get you one.
